Driver Training |
Bayford Meadows can provide structured driver training and tuition to young people and adults alike who are considering becoming an owner driver and competing in licensed racing. We aim to provide training that will lead to the driver attaining the necessary standard to obtain an MSA competition licence. Advice will also be given on purchasing equipment, obtaining a licence, joining a club and attending a race meeting.
The tuition is given by instructors who have been involved in karting for many years and who hold manufacturing, racing and competition experience. Tuition is one-to-one enabling the driver to get the maximum attention from the instructor. All karts and equipment are supplied for the lessons to suit the driver’s age and ability.
Ages: 9 years upwards
Lesson: Lessons include 2 x 15 minute driving sessions, allow 1 hour
Cost: Juniors £35 per lesson / Seniors £55 per lesson
Availability: Lessons can be organised for weekday afternoons and early evenings. To check availability, please contact the circuit office.

What is the ARKS Test? Drivers have to obtain an MSA licence before taking part in competitions. In order to gain a licence a driver must take an ARKS (Association of Racing Kart Schools) test. The test consists of both a written test and a practical driving test and lasts approximately three hours. The test can be arranged and taken at Bayford Meadows once the required standard at the school has been reached and further details will be given to the driver as and when it is felt appropriate.
